It's quite amazing how one cup of coffee....

...can change your whole outlook on life.

When I was on my way out the door to school this morning I was acutely aware of the fact that though I had been "awake" for two hours this morning, my body still believed that it was asleep. My eyes, though open, were STILL warm and heavy, if I stood or sat still for even a moment my body would regain its sleeping warmth and muscle relaxation and therefore any movements that my brain forced it to do were done with a severe amount of crankiness coming from my muscles...they sleepily told me that I may as well have put the most annoyingly loud and shrill alarm clock to my ear. Speaking basically hurt, and while my older brother (home for the day) WAS making me crack up enough as I got ready for the day to WANT to laugh, my body said "Please DON'T make me expend the energy required for laughter." (Notice the lack of a question mark. My body was MAAAAAD.)

So, realizing that I had a full day of studying ahead of me (meaning that I would be sitting still...perfect environment for my body to continue in its state of sleep), I started wondering how on earth I was going to get through the day. Its a sad day when all you look forward to when you wake up in the morning is the moment when you get to fall back into the same position you began the day in: nestled among the warmth and comfort of your bed.

I decided that coffee was a bit neccessary. Sure enough, after one sip (seriously) all the warm sleepy tingliness that my muscles had given me with every move went away, no longer did I feel the urge to str-r-e-e-e-tch with every step I took. I was no longer just listening to my brother trying to make me laugh, I was actually laughing, singing, and doing funny things myself (not that I actually WAS a comedian or appeared to be one to anyone around me, its just that suddenly every circumstance in the world seemed to prompt a laugh). I started looking FORWARD to getting to school and studying studying studying my physics.

Thank you God, for coffee. Thank You so much.
