- Lesson #1: There are weeks in California when three layers with a scarf and mittens aren't enough. Corollary: I need warmer clothes.
- Lesson #2: The point of a rolling backpack is defeated in uber rainy, flood-the-side-walk-type weather.
- Lesson #3: I'm usually the only girl on campus without SOME type of faddish article of clothing/accessory. This semester, it's knee-high leather boots. And the skinny jeans that fit into those boots, for that matter. I'm still trying to decide if I really even WANT knee-high boots.

corollary. I like that. So question - isn't the rolling backpack defeated also when you need to go up stairs? or are you one of those who takes the elevator?
Answer: slightly defeated but not really because I have a big throw-over-the-shoulder purse, so when I pick up the backpack like a briefcase to carry it upstairs, I kind of feel balanced.
After three days, I'm definately still saying that the pros to rolling totally outweigh the cons.
hahaha. roller-girl!
If you get the boots, don't wear them in the rain. (Even though that seems like the perfect time to wear them.) I learned the hard way. I'm hoping that polish will still fix mine.
