Aren't the flowers pretty? The small bouquet is from Harrison and Vika, the larger one is from Brent. I was telling Brent that he picked out the perfect flowers...I would have chosen that bouquet for myself. Not that I often or ever pick out flowers for myself. :) Such sweet little blessings. Little treats like that added up to make my overall experience at the hospital a sweet one instead of a discouraging one.

I keep finding more evidences that Heather is the perfect loving sister to come home to after surgery. This afternoon I came home to a clean home, washed and dried laundry, and a well-stocked kitchen. She's been ever so attentive to my needs, and has added taking care of her recovering sister to her already hectic schedule. She drove me to pick up my pain medication and the rest of the afternoon she's been cooking for me, getting water for me, encouraging me and such. I finally went upstairs to take a shower this evening and found this sweet care package:

It included some of our favorite shampoo and conditioner (she had noticed that I was out), cotton balls (a product I was also out of), my favorite razors (again, out of and after five days in the hospital desperately in need of), spray hair gel that I love but have never owned, a cute little TinkerBell tin, a sassy tray for all of the items, and a sweet encouraging card from Heather and George.

Oh, what a blessing to have family to care for you tangibly while you are convalescing! May the Lord let what He ALREADY KNOWS be known to you and your doctors very, very soon!! :) In the midst of unanswered questions, what a comfort to know the Lord knows our bodies better than anyone. He knows all the details because He's in charge of them!
